-Strengthen and develop long-term mutual cooperation among the parties among the parties in research and outreach on livestock,fisheries and aquaculture knowledge and technologies with emphasis on production and control of breed and feed quality, pest and disease control and management, and acaricides and semen quality control, range and pasture management, pasture irrigation and general best management practices;
-To improvelivestock, fisheries and aquaculture production and productivity for increasing availability and accessibility of meat, milk and fish for improved food security and nutrition, in the face of climate change and related stresses and shocks;
-To minimize human health and environmental risks associated with livestock, fisheries and aquaculture production processes
-To ehance access of livestock, fisheries and aquacture products to both national, regional and international markets
-To Mitigate shortage of livestock, fisheries and aquaculture inputs and technologies including production of quality semen, breeds, feeds, acaricides, by inter alia, unlocking existing potential for local production;
-To foster development and standardization of technologies for research and production of quality livestock, fisheries and aquaculture inputs;
-To contribute to increased area under livestock and aquaculture in order to improve productivity and ensure year-around production and availability of quality inputs
-To build research capacity in the areas of livestock, fisheries and aquaculture and allied desciplines -Improve availability of competent labour force which is responsive to market demands.
